At Awakening Heart Counselling, we believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and feel a sense of wholeness as well as aliveness. At times you may feel overwhelmed, scared, anxious, depressed and a sense of ‘stuck-ness’ in your life, relationships, or specific situations. At other times you may feel inspired to explore new options in life and are seeking someone to support and guide you in this important next step of your journey.

John and Kim both provide services online and John is able to provide in-person services through Townsite Allied Health in Powell River, BC.

Due to a family emergency, John is not accepting new clients nor is he taking new bookings at this time.

Kim O’Leary is not taking new clients at this time.

We provide therapeutic services for adults and couples of all genders and sexual orientations. We offer a variety of therapeutic modalities and will work collaboratively with you to develop a personalized therapy approach to best explore your specific concerns and hopes.
Through both in-person and virtual sessions, we offer:
- Clinical Supervision/Consultation with Kim O’Leary
- Individualized Therapy
- Couples & Relationship Counselling with John Reilly

Our Approach

Through training and life experience, we have come to understand that it is equally as important to listen to the story of the body as it is to listen to the story of words. We embrace a gentle, honest, and curious attitude in our work with others and strive to create a space for safety, understanding, and compassion. We hold a deep respect for the inner wisdom and resources that reside within each person and value their own journey towards wholeness and an enhanced quality of life.
